I am sorry to say that this is the worst stay we have had at Kingsmill since we began staying here years ago. My husband and I booked a one bedroom condo for 3 nights. My son and his family booked a 2 bedroom condo deluxe for two nights at the resort. My Son has been deployed for 6 months and this was going to be the family’s first getaway since returning. After receiving confirmation of their booking, they were notified that something was wrong and the first night stay was no longer available. So a family of 5 had to stay in a regular” room with two queen beds, check-out the next day and then check into their two room condo. Nothing was done to discount them for this inconvenience. Front desk explained that the overbooking occurred due to a large wedding that was occurring and that’s how the room got “gobbled up”. Now to our room; dirty, dead bugs not vacuumed up, and plumbing issue in bathroom. We almost stayed someplace else near by, but we have always been happy here. My advise, check out other places.

Fantastic customer service from the resort front desk! Daniel Coonley was excellent helping with key cards and golf cart transportation to condos and cottages during a wedding I was attending on the property.

We had a group of 12 golfers. Bob Dudeck at the Resort set up the booking and was excellent! He gets a rating of 10! Golfing was wonderful. We played the River course, the Plantation course, and the Woods (a members course). The Main Resort breakfast spread was very good and the Eagles was an excellent post-golf restaurant. Only piece of constructive criticism: the light in foyer to our unit was out. We reported it but never fixed during our stay. That said the overall experience was excellent. Overall they get very high marks and I would recommend, particularly for golfers. Lastly, the proximity to Colonial Williamsburg is an added bonus that we took advantage of.

We had a fantastic time during our stay and really enjoyed our time at the Marina bar being taken care of by Halyna. She made us feel like regulars and even helped us celebrate our anniversary with a dessert! 5 star experience and wonderful memory!

Without a moment's hesitation, Sean embarked on a quest, venturing to another building under the Virginia sky to gather the necessary ingredients. His dedication was not just about fulfilling a request; it was about creating a moment, crafting the best Peach Bellini we’ve ever had. It was a gesture that spoke volumes, not just of his commitment but of a rare kind of hospitality that anticipates and acts, making the extraordinary seem effortless. But it didn’t stop there. The mimosas, oh the mimosas, were unlike any we had experienced. Each glass was a testament to Sean’s dedication, with fresh-squeezed juice that made each sip a revelation. It was in these moments, amid the laughter and conversations that flowed as freely as the drinks, that we realized we were part of something special. The service at Eagles transcended the ordinary. The staff, attuned to the rhythm of our evening, ensured that every detail was perfect, every need met with a smile. And the views—breathtaking panoramas that served as the backdrop to our evening, added an almost cinematic quality to our experience. Even in what was considered their "slow" season, there wasn’t a single moment that felt anything less than extraordinary. In those hours at Eagles, we found more than just exceptional food and drinks; we found a place where time slows down, where every glass tells a story, and every interaction creates a memory. It was here, amongst new friends and under the watchful eye of a bartender named Sean, that we were reminded of the joy of discovery and the unexpected moments that stay with us long after we’ve returned home. Thank you, Sean, and the entire Eagles team, for an experience that was truly unparalleled. Your dedication to crafting moments of joy and connection is what makes Kingsmill Resort a place not just to visit, but to cherish.

If you get the chance to go to The Eagles bar I hope you get to have a fabulous bartender named Sean!! If you want the BEST mimosa in town, he is your man. We ate at this bar twice and had the pleasure of Sean being our bartender. We watched him work a very busy bar with ease and calmness while providing stellar service to all. To top off the trip I asked about peach Bellinis…he went out of his way to get the ingredients that weren’t right at the bar at the time and made us the best Bellini EVER!! Highly recommend this resort, but even more so, I highly recommend Sean at The Eagles!!

Nope, you can do way better. From lodging, to golf, to internal restaurants, it was sub-par. 1- we rented a large 3-room accommodation. While the lodging was top notch (but not cleaned worth a squat), we intended to burn firewood. In fact, we pre-paid for a bundle as part of the reservation. When we checked in, no wood. After asking front desk, they advise that it’s Osprey nesting time.. no burning. Uhhh. 1- why did you sell us wood? 2- we likely would not have booked the fireplace-equipped accommodation had we known about the no burn. 3- why the heck you allowing Ospreys to nest on your chimneys??? That’s complete BS. 2- the golf. Wow. Cart path only produced two 6-hr rounds for us. For real? It wasn’t even wet out there for our 2nd round. Ridiculous. I went to pro shop to complain, but all they had in there was a kid. Very scarce staff. Way overcrowded #1 tee. Poor, poor, poor. 3- the internal restaurants. While the staff was nice, the food was barely acceptable. Certainly not worth the lofty price. We drove the mile down the road to get real food. Poor, poor, poor. Place has great potential, but currently is quite poor. Not worth the dough.

My experience for reasons of cleanliness (basic) in the room was not good but I want to recognize the work of the Manager Sandy H. and a young man named Trevor who did everything possible to improve my experience. Sandy and Trevor Thank you for acting Professionally and with common sense. These people make a difference in a positive way.

Check-in Staff was welcoming, friendly and professional. The facilities were clean and first class. The meals served in-house were well balanced, with fresh food and helpful wait staff. Wait staff was courteous and professional and helped to make our visit al the more enjoyable. This location will certainly be high on the list for consideration for a return visit.
